RRK Launches New Web Presence

Rueda Racing Kings is proud to unveil its new website at ruedaracingkings.com. The new site boasts detailed information about the team, its drivers and sponsorship opportunities. Also included is a section titled Good Racing that spotlights charitable institutions close to the team and its friends.

The new ruedaracingkings.com also puts fans in direct access with the team and its drivers via such social media networks as Twitter and Facebook, not to mention exclusive behind the scenes looks at how the 2010 season is shaping up via You Tube and Flickr channels.


RRK Picks up a Car
April 5, 2010

Rueda Racing Kings announced today that it is taking possession of a 105” wheel base stock car to use during the 2010 K&N Pro Series West season. The car has been purchased from Fitz Racing’s Armando Fitz. “It’s perfect for the tracks we’re planning to run this season,” says Team President Ed Rueda. “With the help of crew chief Bob Bechstein and old friend Pierre Kuettel, we’re putting together a car that we believe will put us in the position to win.”


RRK Gets a Number
March 31, 2010

NASCAR has awarded Rueda Racing a license and a number for the 2010 season. The team will be racing under #28, which is one of the more storied numbers in NASCAR history. Legends A.J. Foyt, Cale Yarborough and Bobby Allison ran with a #28 car, the later a RRK favorite.

“Bobby Allison is actually the person that welcomed me into NASCAR 20 years ago and I consider him a family friend,” says Ed Rueda. “It’s an honor to use a number that he’s been associated with. It’s a very positive number and we’re excited to have it.”


RRK Announces New Sponsorship Opportunities

With the first race of the 2010 K&N Pro Series West just days away, Rueda Racing Kings announces that sponsorship opportunities are open for the season. RRK is dedicated to providing its sponsors with more than visibility. “We have developed a multi-channel, multi-media program that adds value to a sponsor’s brand while increasing revenue opportunities,” explains RRK TITLE Eric Parsons.

RRK has teamed up with Secret Handshake Entertainment, LLC to produce a reality television series about this season’s K&N Pro Series West run, and with F.W.I.W. Creative, LLC and Tidal Wave Social to build and maintain a strategy that puts a sponsor’s name in front of the booming Latino NASCAR market.


Carlos Contreras Joins Rueda Racing Kings

Rueda Racing Kings is proud to announce that Carlos Contreras, considered one of the most successful drivers to come out Mexico, will join the team this season to run in the K&N Pro Series West. To date, Contreras has won eight racing championships that include back-to-back Mustang Series titles. Carlos has participated in both the NASCAR Truck (70 races) and Busch (16) Series events.

“Carlos brings a ton of experience and success with him to Rueda Racing,” says Ed Rueda. “I met him seven years ago and was impressed right away. He’s hungry to make it in the U.S. and we’re excited to have him on our team.”


Bob Bechstein Re-Ups with RRK

Longtime NASCAR and Indy Car crew member Bob Bechstein has recommitted to Rueda Racing Kings to serve at its Team Leader for the 2010 season.

“Bob’s one of the most experienced guys out there,” remarks Ed Rueda, “and he’s shown his loyalty to our team, so it’s an honor to have him lead our team.”

Bechstein joined his first crew in 1976 and is currently working on the #47 car driven by Marcos Ambrose, doing set up work in the shop and then working as the front suspension mechanic on race days.

“I met Ed about eight years ago,” Bob says. “PK (Pierre Kuettel) introduced us and I’ve always been impressed by his passion for racing. I can’t wait to get on the track with him.”


Quintin Crye Rejoins Rueda Racing Kings

Rueda Racing Kings is proud to announce that Quintin Crye will rejoin the team this season to run in the K&N Pro Series West. This is Quintin’s third season with RRK.

“Quintin and I met at the Camping World race in Roseville and we became friends pretty quickly,” says Ed Rueda. “He had had a bad experience and was looking for a new situation. I had the chance to give him a ride and I’m so proud of this kid, who’s working hard to do what he loves.”

The 20-year-old Cherokee Indian first ran under the Rueda Racing banner in the 2009 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series race at the All American Speedway in Roseville, CA. Quintin drove the #73 Rueda Racing/Hybrid Haven Chevrolet to a ninth place finish.


K&N Pro Series West Racing and TV Schedule Announced
March 9, 2010

NASCAR announced the racing and television broadcast schedule for the 2010 K&N Pro Series West series today. Both the NASCAR K&N Pro Series and Whelen Southern Modified Tours will receive airtime on the SPEED Channel.

The K&N Pro Series West includes dates at the All American Speedway, Phoenix International Speedway, Colorado Speedway and Miller Motorsports Park.

Rueda Racing is planning to run in a handful of races this season, including the June 19th run at the Infineon Raceway. Stay tuned for more information.
